A while back I lucked into a huge box of classic
plastic army men at our
library thrift store. It is a colorful and motley assortment of army guys, cowboys and Indians, Civil War soldiers, Revolutionary War soldiers, Corsairs and medieval Knights. There are even some tee-pees, horses, cannon, fences(plank, sandbag, barbed wire, etc), tanks, and jeeps. Nirvana on the playtable:

Between these army guys and
the legos, I have effectively given up on vacuuming the playroom floor. Henceforth, we will be using a rake!
